A 304AISI stainless steel mounting kit is used as the docking adapter for the N62 V8 equal length manifold for the X5 E53 standard exhaust system. A continuous double-stage reduction in the inner diameter of the adapter pipes from ⌀70 mm to ⌀57 mm excludes the chance of the occurrence of turbulence in the exhaust gas flow. Each of the pipes has flanges for the installation of 1 and 2 lambda sensors.
